Concordance

A concordance is a list of words, phrases, topics, and or punctuation marks found within a particular book or portion of text. The list is usually in alphabetical order. Citations are provided for each entry on the list along with its location within the text. It is a useful resource tool and can be helpful to locate specific verses in the bible, even if only a single word or phrase can be remembered; an invaluable bible study tool.

“My concordance was a search engine before search engines were cool.”
